BREAKING NEWS: THE JUSTIN ROSE DAILY TELEGRAPH JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
I can confirm that ALL our events, except the OoM Final at St. Andrews, will be qualifiers for this prestigious event.
The best Boy and Girl’s Gross score in the First Round of each event may qualify for the ‘Grand Final’ at the end of the season. The Gross Scores will be ranked against the relative Course Ratings of the course where our event is being played and will be compared to scores in other qualifying events held throughout Great Britain.
You will have the chance to follow in the footsteps of Robyn Fowlie, Daniel Aitken and Fraser Laird, who all qualified for the 2021 Grand Final.
NEWS FOR THE UNDER 12’S: We have received lots of interest from Boys and Girls who are Under 12 – some who already play in our events – but also several new players who are very keen to play this year.
While we don’t allow caddies in our events, the Junior Tour Admin Team feel it is now right that we allow a Parent or Guardian to act as a ‘Chaperone’ for players that are Under 12. We use the word Chaperone purposely, as this should not be misconstrued as acting in the same way as a Caddy would.
We are sure that the Parents/Guardians which this will refer to, and there will not be many, will adhere to the guidelines which will be handed to them prior to their Child participating in any of our events.
ENTRIES TO EVENTS: We are currently preparing arrangements for taking entries for our events.
There will be instructions forthcoming fairly soon, but until then, please do not contact any of the host venues with a view to trying to enter an event or trying to book a practice round.
ALL ENTRIES WILL BE CONTROLLED BY THE JUNIOR TOUR, BUT PRACTICE ROUNDS CAN BE ARRANGED WITH THE CLUB ONCE A PLAYER’S ENTRY HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.
Many Thanks, Paul, on behalf of the Junior Tour Admin Team
